Introduction

To develop an understanding of the 10,000 years or so that Native Americans have lived in the North American continent, you need to do some basic research of your own. I have put a list of links here that provide basic information about the prehistoric and early historic past. You may direct your own research as you wish, but I suggest you follow the four webquests I have located below. These webquests allow you to conducted research, gather and process information about Native American prehistory so that you are able to use this information to inform our readings for the rest of the semester. Each of the webquests directs you to produce a short report reflecting your research discoveries. These reports will be useful for exams you will have over the next several months.

The collection, collation and analysis of these data are your responsibility. If you choose not to complete these webquests, but to develop your own webquests, you should still be able to produce comparable information so that you can prepare competent answers for your exams. To that end, you should examine the questions associated with each webquest.
